How We Met

Matt and Regan's story began in February 2014 with an adventurous weekend skiing at Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley, ME. From the moment they met, they knew there was a connection. Despite the distance between them—Regan attending university in Orono and Matt living in Biddeford and commuting to USM—their connection grew stronger. Their weekends were spent traveling between Biddeford and Orono, growing their connection.

Growing Together

After about a year of weekend travels, Regan decided to attend school in Presque Isle. Despite the increased distance, their relationship continued to thrive. Throughout their studies and long-distance challenges, they built a resilient and dedicated partnership that laid a solid foundation for their future.

Building a Life Together

Regan completed his accelerated program in Presque Isle and moved in with Matt, marking the beginning of their life together in Biddeford. They shared an apartment for a few years, navigating the early stages of their careers and building their lives side by side. In August 2018, they took a significant step forward and purchased their first home together—a charming 70's style Cape Cod. With love and teamwork, they transformed their house into a home, surviving the renovations and celebrating each small victory along the way.

The Proposal

After nine wonderful years filled with growth, laughter, and countless memories, Matt decided it was time to take their relationship to the next level. In May 2023, on a beautiful houseboat in Boston, he proposed to Regan. It was a moment filled with joy and love, marking the beginning of the next chapter in their incredible journey together.

As they prepare for their wedding, Matt and Regan reflect on the adventure that brought them to this moment. From the ski slopes of Saddleback Mountain to their cozy home in Biddeford, their journey has been one of love, perseverance, and unwavering commitment.
